Assembly Spot

The Assembly Spot is a feature exclusively for CM Retirees, where you can post messages, read messages, and reply to messages. Below are just some of the possibilities, along with easy to follow instructions on how easy it is to use this service.

Take advantage of the Assembly Spot...it's all yours!

"How Do I Register?"

It's easy. Just click on the REGISTRATION ICON above. You'll be rushed off to a page where you enter some very basic information, and in just a moment or two you'll be registered. You'll be issued a password and userid, but many of you with up-to-date browsers won't ever have to use them. You'll get automatic entry to the Assembly Spot. So after you read the rest of this page, scroll back to the top and REGISTER!

"How Does it Work?"

When you go to the "Assembly Spot", you'll see a list of articles that have been submitted by members of our group. You may see a [+] next to some of them. That means there are replies that have been sent to the article, and you can click on the [+] to list them. Click on any article or reply to read them. If you wish to reply to an article or to another reply, just click on "reply" on the menu of options on the left side of the Assembly page.

If you don't want to go to all that trouble to see the full list of articles AND responses, just click on "Show Sub-topics" on the menu on the left side of the Assembly page.

When you've finished at the "Assembly Spot", just click on "The CM Retirees Website" at the top of the page to return to our website main page.

"What Can I Do at the "Assembly Spot"?

Ever wonder why you can't seem to get good green onions from the garden? Why not go to the Assembly Spot and ask for suggestions. Chances are, some CM Retiree, somewhere, is eating green onions from his/her garden every day and has a bushel basket left over for the neighbors.

Get scammed lately? Tell us about it. Maybe we can avoid the same pitfall.

Feel inspired to share a poem or movie experience, recommend a good book, or that favorite recipe for Crocodile Casserole? Let's hear about it.

Want to get everybody riled up about an issue near and dear to your heart... like retiree benefits or the St. Louis Cardinals? Feel free. It's YOUR Assembly Spot.

I think you get the picture. You can enter anything you wish at the Assembly Spot, and you can reply to anybody else's posting. If you make a mistake, you can even go back and edit (your own) entry after it's been posted. There is a limit to 100 postings on the "free" service, which we have. So don't be surprised if some postings drop off when we hit our limit. I think the way it works is that the earliest will drop off when you post yours, after the 100 limit is attained. We'll see how it works for sure when we hit the limit.

SO, AFTER YOU'VE REGISTERED, CLICK THE "ASSEMBLY SPOT ICON" AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE TO OPEN UP A WORLD OF COMMUNICATION WITH OTHER CUNA MUTUAL RETIREES.

And mainly...just have a good time!

"A Word about the Calendar Feature..."

At the "Assembly Spot", you will see a number of menu items on the left side of the page. One or two of them point to a Calendar which you can use and refer to on a personal basis. But you will also find a Calendar which is dedicated to the "Assembly" (that's us). I enter some things on the calendar from time to time. Unfortunately, most of them apply to retiree luncheons and other events in the local Madison area. You won't find anything extensive on the calendar, but if you are going to be in the Madison area on vacation or just visiting or passing through, you might want to glance at the Retiree Assembly calendar first to see if anything is going on.

The calendar is just another example of our growing list of features on the CM Retirees website!
