Here are some of the things that I am involved in.
I serve as Secretary on the Board of Directors of Metroplex Credit Union in Dallas.
This is the former TCUL Employees CU, and like everyone else we have expanded our field of membership and
changed our name. Jo and I have just returned from attending the Texas Credit
Union League's 70th Annual meeting in San Antonio. In 2002, I was appointed to serve on the Board of Directors of the Tarrant County Appraisal Review Board. Our panels listen to presentations from taxpayers that disagree with the appraised value placed on the real estate for taxing purposes by the Tarrant Appraisal District. As you can imagine, we get to hear some interesting testimony. I also work with an organization called N. E. E. D. ( North East Emergency Distribution). On a weekly basis, we distribute food, clothing, and other necessities to needy families. Jo and I both serve in several capacities at our church. We are fortunate to have both of our daughters and their families living close to us. So we get to enjoy being with them and our grandchildren. |
